OUR STORY
Same name. Same roots. A new chapter.
Richard & Sons Trucking began as a trucking business built by Richard Caylor Sr. Today, Richard Caylor II carries the name forward through CDL driver recruiting.
RICHARD CAYLOR SR. · THE BEGINNING
A trucking name that started on the road.
Richard & Sons Trucking was originally created by Richard Caylor Sr. He owned his own truck and built his livelihood around trucking.
Later, he sold his truck to FedEx Freight and continued working in the industry until he was eventually forced into retirement. He passed away in 2021.
The business name remained important because it represented more than a company. It represented years on the road, hard work, independence, and a family connection to trucking.
RICHARD CAYLOR II · CARRYING IT FORWARD
The name stayed because it still felt right.
Richard Caylor II shares his father's name and his connection to trucking. After years of driving over the road and later moving into local trucking, the Richard & Sons Trucking name continued to feel like the right name to carry.
Rather than trying to recreate his father's exact business, Richard is building the next chapter around something the trucking industry constantly needs: better connections between qualified CDL drivers and carriers that need them.
The work has changed. The respect for trucking has not.
FAMILY BEHIND THE NAME
Built around work, home, and the people who matter.
Trucking has always been more than miles and equipment. It affects home time, relationships, bills, schedules, and the people waiting when the driver gets back.
That perspective is part of how Richard & Sons Trucking approaches recruiting: the right job has to work for the carrier and for the driver's life.
